Click on the picture above to take you to the Music Box website. Here you will find loads of super music videos and activities.
There are 5 videos (aka ‘episodes’) recorded by a lady from the CBSO (City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra). Each video involves some singing, clapping rhythms, a bit of information about the piece of music they are talking about and people performing it. What’s really good is you get to see the people playing their instruments. As well as each video, there are linked worksheets, including a factsheet about the instrument they are talking about, composition sheets and drawing activities, amongst others.
Charanga Yuma Video Guide
The video above shows children and parents/carers, how to log into the Charanga Yuma music, access its resources and complete any assignments set by their teacher. Students can log in to find more information, guidance and support on Yumu in our Help section. If you change your username and password you MUST write it down and keep it safe. We will not have access to this information so will not be able to send it to you should you forget it!
Assignments from your teacher
You should have a login letter from your teacher, containing your username and password. If you don’t have the letter, ask your teacher.
Once you have logged in, you will see an image that links to your assignments. Beneath this image, you can see how many assignments you have and how many of those you have not yet looked at.
Clicking the assignments image takes you to a list of your assignments.
For each assignment, you can see whether it is new or how far through the assignment you are. You can also see the date that the assignment is due to be completed (if your teacher has set a date). To complete one of the assignments, click on it.
Using the menu on the right-hand side, click through each of the activities in turn to complete the assignment. The green progress bar above the menu, shows you how far through the assignment you are.
